Priorities

As your Commissioner, the security and safety of the residents served by Dyfed-Powys Police is my priority.

My Police and Crime Plan 2017-21 sets the strategic direction and priorities for Dyfed-Powys Police, and I look forward to working closely with the Chief Constable to achieve my objectives.

My priorities are:

  1. Keeping our communities safe.
  2. Safeguarding the vulnerable.
  3. Protecting our communities from serious threats.
  4. Connecting with communities.

These priorities are based on my personal, professional and practical knowledge and have been shaped by the public and local stakeholders. Thank you to all of you who contacted me with your feedback on my draft Plan earlier this year.

I will review my Plan annually to ensure that it remain fit for purpose.

How will I know my priorities are being met?

Supporting my Police and Crime Plan is a Delivery Plan that sets out how policing is delivered against the Police and Crime Plan priorities.  The Delivery Plan includes measures that will enable me to monitor performance.

I will publish regular information on my website that will show progress against my Plan.
