The Chief Finance Officer is a statutory role that a Police and Crime Commissioner must appoint. Their duty, as set out in legislation is to ensure that the financial affairs of the Commissioner are properly administered, having regard to their probity, legality and appropriate standards.

Salary Band: £79,344 - £84,690 (0.68 FTE)

What did you do before joining the Commissioner’s Team?

After qualifying with the Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in 1993, I have held a number of senior finance roles within local government and policing. I have expertise across all aspects of financial and management accountancy, medium term strategic financial planning, audit and inspection regimes, corporate governance arrangements, risk management, operational service review, and financial systems implementation and development.
