The Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Dafydd Llywelyn, has today published his Annual Report for 2024–25, outlining progress made over the past year against the key priorities set out in the Police and Crime Plan.

The report showcases the PCC’s work to hold the Chief Constable to account, support victims, and invest in safer communities across the Dyfed-Powys area.

Key highlights from the report include:

  • Continued investment in crime prevention and early intervention projects, particularly those supporting young people and vulnerable groups
  • Expansion of independent volunteer schemes such as Independent Custody Visitors, Youth Ambassadors and Animal Welfare Visitors
  • Ongoing support for the newly commissioned victim support service, ensuring victims receive help tailored to their needs
  • A strong focus on transparency and public engagement, including new scrutiny panels and surveys to give local people a voice

Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn said:

“This report sets out how my office and I have worked over the last year to deliver on our shared priorities with communities across Dyfed-Powys. It highlights some of the progress we’ve made, as well as the challenges we face in ensuring that policing remains visible, effective and accountable. I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to this work – from officers and staff, to partners, volunteers and residents.”

The report also provides an overview of the Commissioner’s financial responsibilities and governance arrangements, including how funding has been allocated to support frontline policing and community safety.
