As part of White Ribbon Week 2025, colleagues from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner ( OPCC) attended a youth-led White Ribbon event bringing together pupils from local schools for a day of workshops focussed on respect, safety and tackling violence against women and girls.

The event was delivered in partnership with organisations including Yo Bro, Our Voice Our Journey, By His Path, His Journey Project and the You Should Know Project, who each led interactive sessions designed to help young people recognise harmful behaviours and build positive, respectful relationships.

The OPCC was pleased to join the event in support of local partners who are helping to empower young people and strengthen prevention work across the region.

PCC Dafydd Llywelyn said:
“I am grateful to all the organisations involved in delivering this important day for local young people. Their work aligns strongly with the White Ribbon mission and with our commitment to preventing violence and supporting safer communities.”

“The Yo Bro campaign is doing vital work with boys and young men across our communities. Their focus on positive masculinity, respect, and challenging harmful attitudes aligns closely with my priorities. I am proud to support projects that empower young people and help prevent violence before it happens.”
