PCC Dafydd Llywelyn holds Community Engagement Day and Public Meeting in Llandrindod Wells

On Tuesday 9 September, Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn, spent the day in Llandrindod Wells for his latest Community Engagement Day, meeting with local police officers, community organisations, and members of the public.
The day began at Llandrindod Wells Police station, where the Commissioner met with officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Prevention Team (NPPT) to discuss current policing priorities and community safety issues. The visit also coincided with national, Emergency Services Day (999 Day), providing an opportunity to recognise and thank frontline teams for their ongoing commitment to keeping communities safe.
During the afternoon, the Commissioner visited local support services, including Calan DVS' first dedicated mother and baby refuge in Powys, and The Hive, to hear about the work being done to support vulnerable people and strengthen community networks across Powys.
The day concluded with a public community surgery in Llandrindod Wells, where local residents were invited to meet with the Commissioner to raise concerns m ask questions and share their views on policing in the area.
Police and Crime Commissioner Llywelyn said:
“My Community Engagement Days are an important opportunity to listen to people to learn more about the fantastic work taking place in our communities, and to ensure local voices help shape policing priorities. Holding this event on Emergency Services Day is particularly meaningful and I want to thank all our frontline responders for their dedication and service. I am grateful to everyone who took the time to meet with me, from officers and partner organisations to residents who attended the evening surgery."
