PCC Marks White Ribbon Week with Focus on Prevention and Youth Engagement
Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Llywelyn, is marking White Ribbon Week 2025 by reaffirming our commitment to preventing violence against women and girls, and by highlighting key projects working to challenge harmful attitudes and promote respect across the Dyfed-Powys area.
This year, we are spotlighting youth-led prevention initiative such as the Yo Bro campaign, which supports boys and young men to explore positive masculinity, challenge misogyny and make safe, respectful choices. We also continue to support local programmes that empower young ambassadors to promote equality and respectful relationships within their schools and communities.
Along-side this early-intervention work, the Commissioner funds a range of specialist services providing support to victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking across the Dyfed-Powys area.
Throughout White Ribbon Week, OPCC colleagues will be engaging with local partners and young people to raise awareness and champion the message that violence against women and girls has no place in our communities.
PCC Llywelyn said:
“ White Ribbon Week reminds us that preventing violence starts with education and respect. I am encouraged by the powerful work taking place across our communities particularly with young people who are helping to drive positive cultural change."
