Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn has signed the Police-Perpetrated Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence ( VAWDASV) Pledge, strengthening his commitment to tackling harmful behaviours within policing across the Dyfed-Powys area.

The pledge aims to ensure that allegations of police-perpetrated abuse are taken seriously, responded to consistently and handled in a way that supports victims and upholds public confidence. By signing the pledge, the Commissioner has affirmed his support for improving culture, transparency and accountability across the service.

PCC Dafydd Llywelyn said:
“ Violence, abuse and misogyny have no place within policing.  By supporting this pledge, I am sending a clear message that victims must be believed, concerns must be acted on and high standards must be upheld across Dyfed-Powys Police.

The pledge forms part of wider national work to address VAWDASV and promote safer more inclusive policing environments. The OPCC will continue to work closely with Dyfed-Powys Police and partner agencies to ensure progress against this important commitment.
