Promoting Volunteer Opportunities Across Dyfed-Powys
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner has been out and about this autumn promoting its volunteer opportunities alongside the Dyfed-Powys Police recruitment team at a series of local careers and community events.
On 30 October our team attended a Volunteer Fair in Market Hall, Cardigan, speaking with residents interested in giving their time to support policing and community safety.
On November 6 we were at Llanelli Library for a careers event, sharing information about the Commissioner’s volunteer schemes, including Independent Custody Visitors, Youth Ambassadors and Quality Assurance Panel.
Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn said:
“Volunteers pay a vital role in helping us build safer, stronger communities, and its encouraging to see so many people keen to get involved.”
Next week we’ll be at St Peter’s Civic Hall in Carmarthen on Tuesday 12 November from 10am-1pm, so if you are in the area, come along o learn more about volunteering and policing careers across the Dyfed-Powys area.
