Dyfed-Powys Police & Crime Commissioner takes on chairmanship of All Wales Policing Group

Dafydd Llywelyn, your Police and Crime Commissioner, is representing the residents of Dyfed-Powys as he chairs the All Wales Policing Group for the first time, Friday 12/07/2019.

The All Wales Policing Group sees all Welsh Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables meet on a quarterly basis to discuss policing requirements for Wales and issues affecting residents across the country.

The Group considers how they can work together to prevent crime and protect victims of crime at a local level, whilst meeting national policing requirements.

Dafydd Llywelyn says: “I am honoured to be taking on the role of Chair of the All Wales Policing Group.

I look forward to making progress on a variety of issues, as well as pushing the collaborative agenda.

I am eager to start working closely with the Home Office, Welsh Government and other Police Forces as Chair of this Group, whilst representing the best interests of local communities across Dyfed-Powys and our neighbouring Force areas.”

Dafydd Llywelyn takes over from Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner, Jeff Cuthbert, as Chair of this Group, and will maintain this post until May 2020.
