Chief Constable post-service employment
Since January 2018, as a result of the Leveson Inquiry, Chief Officers must notify the relevant authority of any planned employment within 12 months of leaving the police service.
For those at Chief Constable rank, the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is responsible for reviewing the proposed role, making recommendation on its appropriateness, and publishing details of the post-service employment on the PCC's website.
