PCC visits Llanelli for Community Engagement Day
On the 9 September 2026, Police and crime Commissioner (PCC) Dafydd Llywelyn visited Llanelli as part of a Community Engagement Day focused on meeting local partners and hearing about issues affecting the area.
The day included a visit to Coleg Sir Gar, where the Commissioner met principal Kirsty Lloyd and met with staff and students, followed by discussions with Councillor Louvain Roberts and Councillor Sean Rees at Llanelli Town Hall.
The visit concluded with a Community Scrutiny Panel. The panel provided an opportunity for participants to share their views and contribute to the scrutiny of policing and community safety across the area. If you are interested in joining the panel within your area, then more information can be found on our Community Scrutiny Webpage Dyfed-Powys Police & Crime Commissioner
Commissioner Llywelyn said:
“I am grateful to everyone who took the time to speak with me throughout the day. Community Engagement days provide a valuable opportunity for me to meet with members of the public and discuss matters which matter most to them. I would also like to thank those who volunteered for our Community Scrutiny Panel, these panels would not work without the dedication of our volunteers, and I would strongly encourage anyone with an interest to apply via our webpage.”
